C&B Repeats its Jackson Trophy Win!

Congratulations to president Niall Gunn, Joe and Maggie Barry (three of last year's winning team) and Douglas Burns, who retained the Champion of Champions trophy, the Jackson Cup in 2022. President Niall Gunn, Maggie and Joe Barry and Douglas Burns defended their Champion of Champions Trophy, the Jackson Trophy. 4-1 down in the semi-final game wasn't the best place to be early on in the game, but a good second half performance enabled the team to pull through against Trevor Dodds' Carrington team. Lining up in the final against Ian Keron, the teams looked evenly matched. C&B played strongly early on in the game and were always up courtesy of a 3 in the second end. Ian and his team pulled it back to one down playing the last end, though C&B did have the hammer. In a terrific last end, Niall had to draw the one-foot to avoid an extra end. The trophy was presented to the winning team by ECC president, Sean Murphy, who had been in the losing team in the final. Congratulations to Maggie, Joe, Douglas and Niall.
