Lymphoy Results and League Table Round 5.1

Well, this was a big week in this season's Lymphoy Trophy competition as the two teams at the top of the table fought out a tight eight-end game, sharing the ends four each.  Though the score may look lop-sided, the game was anything but - indeed Bob took a 6-5 lead into the last end.  John Steven, Niall Gunn, Rowena Steven and Richie Anderson managed to score a five and that was that.

Meanwhile in the other game, Katie Wood had a good win against Jenny Barr, who had three substitutes playing for her, Betty Gibb, Julie McKenzie and John McOmish.  Katie had David Hogg subbing for her.

This was a big night for John Steven, who moves three points clear of the field and, crucially, three points ahead of his nearest challenger, Bob Barr.  Susan Kesley is on six points, four points behind John, but does have a game in hand.  The league table looks like this.
