It's all a bit confusing, but we haven't really finished round one yet, if you catch my drift.  Anyhow, all the teams were out on the ice tonight and it was all very convivial.  Andrew had a good win against John Steven, whose regular third, David Munro is over in Canada on Strathcona Cup duty.  Dave is on the east tour and you can follow his progress here.

The club's other Strathcona Cup tourist, Joe Barry, plays for Andrew Galloway and, if he is reading this across the pond, he will be delighted to note that his other team is doing rather well.  Andrew, Robin and substitutes Gavin Barr and Margaret Jacks (now a team regular!) scored an impressive six ends out of eight played in their game against John Steven.  Ends, as we know, may very well count when we get to the business end of the league in March.

The same link will get you to Joe's results page as well, by the way.  He is also on the east tour.  Both the tourists have had solid starts, winning their first two games.

Anyhow, back to Friday's results.  The Woods got off to a flier with a good win over Susan and, in the battle of the siblings-in-law, Andrew prevailed over Jenny.

Early days obviously, but I venture that John Steven is sweating at this early stage - he's not that used to looking up!
