Both Brian Fleming and Shona Watt managed to win five ends (out of seven) against their opponents, respectively Mike Wood and recent-ish Lymphoy Cup champion, Andrew Galloway.
As a result, the league table looks like this.
Position | Team | Played | Ends | Shots U/D | Shots | Points |
1 | Steven | 2 | 11 | 15 | 20 | 4 |
2 | Fleming | 2 | 9 | 4 | 12 | 4 |
3 | Watt | 2 | 7 | 4 | 12 | 2 |
4 | Galloway | 2 | 7 | 2 | 13 | 2 |
5 | Wood K | 2 | 7 | -3 | 11 | 2 |
6 | Barr J | 2 | 6 | -1 | 13 | 2 |
7 | Copland | 2 | 6 | -11 | 6 | 0 |
8 | Wood M | 2 | 3 | -10 | 7 | 0 |
The two auld yins are propping up the table. Brian's five ends helped, but John has eleven after only two games. Looking ominous.
The entire club seems to be away next week doing one thing or another; I know this because I have been getting an increasingly worrying number of "already playing mate - sorry..." responses to my pleas for a substitute (I can't play either).
Helpmaboab. At least, with me not there, the team might have a chance of winning a game. That would make a change.
