Robin Copland, Raymond Preston, Francis Kennedy and substitute Colin Campbell won a tight game against Brian Fleming and hauled themselves onto the same points total as team Fleming in sixth place. Brian stays in fifth.
Meanwhile on the adjoining sheet Susan Kesley, Norman Nicol, Lois Copland and Pauline Alexander had a good win against John Steven and his troops.

So. Where does that leave us?
Jenny Barr plays Andrew Galloway and fellow Cherrystone Trophy winner Susan Kesley. She is five ends ahead of her nearest rival, Andrew Galloway and indeed still has to play Andrew. Realistically, one win should do it for team Barr.
Andrew Galloway plays Robin Copland and Jenny Barr. These could be two difficult games, but if team Galloway win them both, then they would move to ten points. If Jenny lost not only to Andrew, but also to Susan, it is still on for Andrew to win the Lymphoy outright.
Shona Watt, who is also on six points with two games to go, plays John Steven and Andrew Cargill. She wins them both and moves to ten points. Jenny loses both and Shona overtakes Jenny. If Robin beats Andrew G, then it is on for team Watt to win the Lymphoy.
Andrew Cargill plays Shona Watt and Brian Fleming. Andrew is also on six points. He wins them both and ... he can still win the Lymphoy too.
Brian Fleming plays Andrew Cargill. So let's say that Brian beats Andrew and that Andrew loses his other game against Shona Watt. Brian can overhaul Andrew, but wait. Shona has beaten Andrew, so she moves to at least eight points. So what if Andrew and Shona drew their game and lost their other games and what if John Steven beats Shona? Well, Brian could move past both Andrew and Shona. Robin Copland plays Andrew Galloway. If Robin beat Andrew, then either of Brian and Robin conceivably could move into contention for the Glenbrook. Unbelievabubble how close this league has become!
So what of John Steven or Susan Kesley? John plays Shona Watt. He wins. He moves to six points, but here's his problem: Andrew Cargill and Shona play each other so are bound, just bound to share two points between them. The two of them move to seven or one of them moves to eight. You get the point. Susan plays Jenny Barr but suffers from the same problem as John.
We're talking the Pope becoming a Protestant. Same kind of chance. Shias and Sunnis get it together. You get the picture.
So who can come last? Astonishingly, last position can still be won (if that is the right verb) by any one of the bottom four in the current league table. Imagine that for a minute; there are two teams who can come either second or last - proper league!
