Scottish Masters Championship 2022

Regular readers of these pages will be astonished to learn that Robin Copland, playing with his old team mate from the 70s and 80s, Ken Horton, as well as fellow Murrayfield curlers, Mike Dick and Trevor Dodds, reached the final of the Scottish Masters Championship, recently played out at Greenacres in Renfrewshire. They had good wins against some fancied teams including Stranraer's John Sharp and Kelso's Keith Prentice - playing with his Senior World Champion winning team of Lockhart Steele, Robin Aitken and Tommy Fleming.
Anyhow, they got to the final on the Sunday afternoon and found themselves playing against the only other undefeated skip in the competition, Don Stark. The Stark team played really well and ran team Horton out of stones in the eighth and last end. Silver Medals and suitably glum faces all around!
