Kettle Trophy Results and League Table Round 2.1

An interesting couple of results where last week's winners became this week's losers, and vice versa!  Fortunately for Kerry Clark, nee Barr, she now lives in Livingston and not with her parents, one of whom was delivered a sound thrashing on the ice as you can see in the scores grid below!

Niall Gunn and John Steven fought out a hard fought game in which John was two-up, coming home and managed to restrict Niall to one shot in the eighth end.  Louise Edwards took to the Currie and Balerno ice for the first time in a wee whiley, I venture, having moved back to these parts from Aberdeen during the summer.  Welcome back, Louise and many thanks for turning out as a substitute.  Thank you also to Andrew Cargill, Avril Anderson, Jen Marshall and David McHale who were substitutes in the Clark v Barr skirmish.

Two eight-end games, by the way.  It's amazing what the extra five or so minutes session time does for the average end-count per game.

Here's the results grid.

Team 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
F A E F A E F A E F A E F A E F A E F A E F A E
N Gunn       8 6 4 6 7 5
K Clark 6 8 4             12 2 7
J Steven 7 6 3             4 11 2
S Kesley       2 12 1 11 4 5
K Wood                               3 9 1
J Barr                         9 3 4
D Munro                                           9 2 5
M Wood                                     2 9 2

And here is the resultant (and very close) league table.

Position Team Played Ends Shots u/(d) Shots scored Points
1 K Clark 2 11 8 18 2
2 N Gunn 2 9 1 14 2
3 Kesley 2 6 -3 13 2
4 Munro 1 5 7 9 2
5 J Steven 2 5 -6 13 2
6 J Barr 1 4 6 9 2
7 M Wood 1 2 -7 2 0
8 K Wood 1 1 -6 3 0

We need the Woods to come to the party in the next round for an unprecedented points scoreline (twos all round).  Now that would be a first!
