Kettle Trophy Results and Final League Table Friday 12 December

Well, it went all the way down to the wire!  Brian did his level best to catch John Steven and Katie Wood, winning six ends out of seven in his game against Andrew Cargill.  But meanwhile, John was doing something dreadful to fellow-challenger Katie Wood, again winning six out of seven ends in a one-sided game.  So that leaves the final league table

looking something like this.  John and Brian are tied on 11 points.  When we go to ends, John has 29 and Brian has 25, so ...

Kettle Trophy Results and League Table Friday 12 December Round 7.1

Last Friday saw the bottom half of the league play off their games to see if the wooden spoon could be avoided.  Jenny's rifle spiked Niall's Gunn.   Actually, that's not strictly true as Niall wasn't actually there, but why let the facts get in the way of a good storyline?  Shona skipped his team and it was a right good game that could have gone either way - well until the sixth end when team Barr scored a big four to effectively seal the game.

In the other game Dave Munro beat Bob Barr and his team.  Both games managed seven ends which, given that there was nothing really at stake, made this old codger relatively happy when all said and done!
