Kesley Team in Magnificent Dumfries Win!

What a performance by C & B's very own Susan Kesley, Fran Stretton and Morna Aitken together with Vicky Gumley in the Hardie Seniors Open in Dumfries from 1 - 3 December.  Let's just put this into some kind of context.  There were twelve entrants in the competition.  There were former World Senior and Scottish Senior Champions in the field.  There were former Scottish and Scottish Junior Champions in the field.  In the final, they faced off against Robert Clark and Billy Howat, the 1985 Scottish Champions and Philip Wilson, a former World Junior Champion, European Championship Bronze Medallist and Olympian to boot.

There was one ladies team in the field.

And they won!  Here they are immediately after their fantastic win in the final.

Meanwhile, in the low road final, three other C & B members were playing in the Callum Harvey team, sponsored by McQueen Legal.  They took the notable scalp of Keith Prentice in the final.  And just for the record, the handsome chap far right was subbing for an indisposed Robin Aitken.  Get well soon Robin.

Not a bad day for the club!
