Scottish Senior Curling Championships

The Scottish Senior Curling Championship finals are being held at the Lanarkshire Ice Rink in Hamilton this weekend.

Sad to report that there is only one man who qualified for the final weekend this year, so hats off to Andrew Galloway, who is playing third in the Basil Baird team.

There are a few lady members competing.  Isobel Hannen plays second in the Jackie Lockhart team.  Jackie, Christine Cannon, Isobel and Margaret Richardson are the reigning World Champions and all four of them learnt their curling in Hamilton, so they will be warm favourites for the title come Sunday afternoon.

Susan Kesley is skipping her own team this season with fellow club members Fran Stretton and Morna Aitken.  Vicky Gumley is the other member of the team.

Good luck to them all!
