Team Davie Do It Again - This Time In Inverness!

Andrew Barr, coach of Team Davie, reports on another successful weekend's curling for the team, which is shaping up well and leading the Asham Under-21 Slam table with just one event to play in Lockerbie.  Let Andrew take up the story in his own words...

Team Davie competed in the Inverness Junior International competition at the weekend with a reduced field of just five girls' teams (three teams having chosen to rest before the World B Qualifiers in Aberdeen).  Unfortunately there were no international teams this year.

The format was a round robin of four games with the top two teams playing off in a final on Sunday morning.  Team Davie was undefeated going into the final where they came up against Team Lucy Blair.  They blanked the first three ends on tricky ice.  In the fourth end, good play from all the team set up an open hit of five for skip Lisa Davie.  It feathered her own shot on the way past, but the hit was made!  The team successfully defended their lead and won comfortably in the end by 7-2 with a very consistent display of shot-making.

The team has a run of six events in November and December - Braehead, Inverness, Aberdeen (World B Qualifier), Copenhagen, Perth Junior Qualifiers and, finally, Lockerbie.

Thanks to Andrew Barr for the report - sounds like a busy and successful weekend and many congratulations from all at C&B!
