Kettle Trophy Final Round 7.2 Results and League Table

Norman was sitting in the bar watching events unfold.  He knew that the only threat to the Fleming team came from the John Steven and Jenny Barr teams.  

John was absent and Mike Wood stepped up to skip the rink with Stuart Ronald and Susan MacFarlane moving up to third and second respectively.  Derek Leung stepped in at lead.  They had to win their game and win at least four ends and a barrel load of shots - or score in five or more ends.  Well - they won the first two ends and there may have been some nervousness in the bar!  Kerry also had an interest in things though; if she beat Mike and if the Jenny Barr v Karen Munro was drawn, then she was in for second place!

Fast forward to the end of the game.  Kerry is two up coming home, meanwhile on the next sheet, Karen is lining up for a tricky out-turn back eight foot weight tap back which, if she makes, scores her a two and peels the game!  She played it but immediately signalled that she thought it was high and maybe a tad heavy.  Jenny stole a one, won the game and scored four ends - two ends short of an outright win in the competition but good enough for the runners-up spot and the Harlaw Cup.  Kerry had to be content with third place - but she was very close herself to the Harlaw Cup.
