Kettle Trophy Round One Results and League Table

Jings, crivens and helpmaboaby, but what a start to C&B's season 2017-18!  If you were a Wood, you'll probably have slunk away into the night licking your wounds and dreaming of better days, but on the other hand, if you were a Munro - well, take a look at the results table below and let me also tell you that Karen was skipping in Jenny Barr's absence and had a stellar team of Morna Aitken and reigning Scottish Senior Champion and former World Senior Champion, Isobel Hannen at lead.  I should also say that Isobel is a former Scottish Junior Champion, but that doesn't count because it was so long ago.  Did I just write that?  Yes, I did, would seem to be the answer, but she's still a sight younger than your correspondent, who, not that you are interested, but had quite the most dreadful game he has ever thrown playing third to Susan Kesley.  John Steven won that encounter.

Finally, and while we are on the subject of results, Niall got a good early lead against Mike that he never surrendered and Dave Munro and Katie Wood took an early lead in the "Eight ends game" competition.

Here is the resultant league table.

3 N Gunn 1 4 4 7 2

6 M Wood 1 3 -4 3 0
7 K Wood 1 3 -7 6 0
8 B Fleming 1 1 -6 3 0

All to play for, as a wiser man than I once wrote.
