Reserve Availability at 26 September

Hello all and welcome to the far-famed C&B Reserve Availability List.  To be very fair, it kind of up there with chocolate teapots and paper fireguards at the moment, for the simple reason that I haven't a scoobie about anyone's availability EXCEPT for John Penny and Caitlin Barr on Friday 10th November.  They will be otherwise engaged that day.  Oh - and Mark Munro this Friday - I have already nabbed him!

So, the onus is on everyone to let me know your availability on the various club days/ nights between now and the beginning of next week when I will update it.  If I get enough feedback between now and Thursday, I will bring the update forward to the end of this week.
Email me at robin@scotwork.com.

Kettle Trophy Round One Results and League Table

Jings, crivens and helpmaboaby, but what a start to C&B's season 2017-18!  If you were a Wood, you'll probably have slunk away into the night licking your wounds and dreaming of better days, but on the other hand, if you were a Munro - well, take a look at the results table below and let me also tell you that Karen was skipping in Jenny Barr's absence and had a stellar team of Morna Aitken and reigning Scottish Senior Champion and former World Senior Champion, Isobel Hannen at lead.  I should also say that Isobel is a former Scottish Junior Champion, but that doesn't count because it was so long ago.  Did I just write that?  Yes, I did, would seem to be the answer, but she's still a sight younger than your correspondent, who, not that you are interested, but had quite the most dreadful game he has ever thrown playing third to Susan Kesley.  John Steven won that encounter.

K Wood               6133
D Munro            1365
N Gunn                     734
M Wood                  373

Finally, and while we are on the subject of results, Niall got a good early lead against Mike that he never surrendered and Dave Munro and Katie Wood took an early lead in the "Eight ends game" competition.

Here is the resultant league table.

Position Team Played Ends Shots u/(d) Shots scored Points
1 J Barr 1 6 6 9 2
2 D Munro 1 5 7 13 2
3 N Gunn 1 4 4 7 2
4 J Steven 1 4 3 6 2
5 S Kesley 1 3 -3 3 0
6 M Wood 1 3 -4 3 0
7 K Wood 1 3 -7 6 0
8 B Fleming 1 1 -6 3 0

All to play for, as a wiser man than I once wrote.
