Lymphoy Cup Teams and Draw

Santa has been; strangers bearing coal have visited and the mid-winter festivities are but a distant memory.  Our thoughts must now turn to important business at hand - namely the Lymphoy Cup.  Here are the teams.

A fetching colour scheme, it must be admitted, but for fear of causing offence and angst amongst the many of you who are fortnightly visitors to the leafy suburb that is Gorgie, I humbly submit the draw in a more suitable hue.

It is an interesting draw with consecutive dates all the way through and no fewer than five nights when the whole club is out - excellent!  Designated drivers and buses will be the order of the day, I hope, so that we can hear again the traditional curlers' call, "64 haufs in a wanner, barman; we're in a bit of a rush for the lambing!"

Interesting looking teams as well, mind you and thank you as always, to the committee for all their hard work in drawing John Steven and Susan Kesley in the same team.  I mean - come on!  Jenny and Catriona together at skip and third - that'll draw the crowds and as for the Copland/ Barr combo?  Well, we may well lose, but we'll lose quick.  All I'm saying!

The season will come to an appropriate end when we celebrate Tom Holmes's memory in the Tom Holmes trophy and supper on Saturday 7 March at 3:45pm, followed by supper.  More about that nearer the time.
