Katie Wood dragged herself one point ahead of the chasing pack this evening after her drawn game with Jenny Barr.  The single point for Jenny, Betty, Margaret and Donald takes them off the ignominious "nil-points" but they remain rooted to the wrong end of the table.  Can they mount a late challenge in their last three games?  Is this the start of the great fightback?

Meanwhile, four substitutes took to the rink in place of Susan Kesley's team; is this a first?  Tasha Aitken, Gavin Barr, Laura Barr and Margaret Jacks put the (up until last week, undefeated team of Andrew, Niall Raymond and Morna to the sword and in so doing put a large dent in their challenge for the Lymphoy.  That's two losses in as many weeks for this strong foursome, who will be disappointed not to be on eight points and challenging.

All told (he said, without trying to look too smug!) perhaps the team that benefitted most from this evening's results were not even on the ice.  Andrew Galloway and his mob now find themselves three points clear of the chasing pack, with three games to go.  Three tough games, mind you.  The chickens remain uncounted!
