Kettle Trophy Round 3.1 Results and League Table

Even without John Steven at the helm, his team goes on from strength to strength.  Maggie Barry skipped her team to a big five in the first end and though they lost the next three ends another huge score of four in end five settled their nerves.  Shona Watt skipped Jenny's team to their third straight defeat.

Susan Kesley against Brian Fleming was a game of one end really.  Susan was 3-1 up playing end four when Brian came to play his last stone.  Brian, Karin and Sheena Munro and Richard Alexander were lying one shot, with four Kesley counters lying two to five.  Brian's last stone chipped his own one out and instead of the score being tied at 3-3 or, at worst 3-2 in Susan's favour, it was actually a steal of four and a 7-1 lead.  Cuban cigars were the order of the day for team Kesley.  What a stink.

It's getting a bit lonely down at the foot of the table for teams Wood K and Barr J!  Next week sees the whole club out in round 4 action.  Round 3.2 will not take place until 27 October when things should be clearer.
