Brian Fleming qualifies for the Scottish Senior Finals

Team Aitken go through their section undefeated!

Brian, throwing last stones for Robin Aitken's team, has qualified for the Scottish Senior Curling Championship Finals at the Lanarkshire Ice Rink in Hamilton from Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 February.  The team came through a tough section in Forfar, including former Scottish runner-up skip and reigning Scottish Senior Mixed Champion skip, Gary MacFarlane, Jim Stevenson, former Scottish and European Champion, Barton Henderson and Forfar's ex ice technician (and no mean curler himself) Andy McGlynn.

Brian will hope to build on recent club successes in the Scottish Senior Championships.  Jim Barr and the late Ian Gibb were champions and Maggie Barry is a former ladies senior champion and World Silver Medallist.

David Munro also competed, playing in the Basil Baird team, but they failed to qualify.  That said, they took the scalp of David Clydesdale, a former runner-up in the event.
